What has been your most rewarding work experiences at AE?
Using my experience to help our staff become better engineers, feel challenged, and have a good time along the way. It’s also very rewarding when we’re able to step in and solve problems for our customers that they’ve been struggling with for quite some time.
What’s different about AE that makes it a great place to work?
A good team atmosphere and the variety of projects. As a consultant, you get the opportunity to work with many different customers and in a variety of engineering disciplines. I can’t think of a better way to develop into an effective engineer. All of our customers have been great to work with, so it’s been great way for me to build relationships with people in many different companies/roles.
How have the training and development opportunities at AE expanded your career?
I am amazed at what I’ve learned since coming to AE. There are opportunities to learn the latest engineering tools and techniques, and every project is a learning experience. But more than technical knowledge, I’ve found that the most important things I’ve learned have been in the areas of leadership, sales and marketing, project management, communication, teamwork, and time management.
How would you describe AE’s company culture?
Open, trusting, helpful, honest, but challenging. AE has an open door policy across the board, and if you need help you’ll have no problem finding someone willing to lend a hand. AE challenges everyone to perform while allowing them the latitude to succeed in their own way.
