Applied Engineering Technology, Inc. is accepting applications for a Design Engineer in its Eau Claire, WI office. Design Engineers at AE are given a wide variety of engineering challenges that help our customers accelerate design cycles and offer more competitive products. This engineer would typically work in R&D, new product development, sustaining engineering, or manufacturing engineering roles providing engineering services to AE's customers in the Eau Claire, WI area. Typical day-to-day responsibilities might include presenting design concepts; writing and implementing engineering change orders; project management; utilizing VA/VE to analyze and implement product improvements; performing engineering analysis and cost justification; providing prototype build support; and utilizing good CAD modeling and detailing techniques to ensure that production components meet design intent.Minimum requirements include excellent communication skills, a B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Ag Engineering, an eagerness to tackle a wide variety of challenges, two to ten years experience in product development, and experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Pro/Engineer.
