Applied Engineering, Inc. has an immediate openings for Prototype Technicians in Bismarck, ND. The Technician is responsible for assembly and/or disassembly of construction and agricultural equipment prototypes; repair and preparation of test prototypes for new and/or redesigned products; and making parts and weldments. Projects may include any of the following: test and repair prototype units; read blueprints; set up, operate, and maintain tools and equipment used in manufacture of prototype products; operate machines and company vehicles; work closely with other technicians, design, and test groups; pick up parts and supplies from other departments and suppliers; and make parts and weldments.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of the freshman year of a vocational program such as Automotive Technology, Diesel Engines, Machine Tool, Welding, or related curriculum. The successful candidate will be a self starter with the ability to work well with people with a minimum of instruction and be able to assemble or repair machines with little training and/or supervision.
