Fastener Basics and Joint Design

Bolted Joint Analysis and Design

Participants will review major types of fasteners and types of bolted joints, evaluate different joints with Tensile and/or Shear loading, determine fastener size requirements, evaluate joint pre-load and clamp force requirements and identify proper joint tension control methods.

The course will also cover major types of fastener failures and how to avoid each type.
